The House, inspired by Walter Spies, is a 4-bedroom villa that has been lovely restored and furnished. Furnishings include custom-made tables, lamps, Kartini chairs, four-poster beds, elegant cabinets, rich silk cushions, and bedcovers, which all conform to the old style of the house. There is a large deck with a newly finished overflow pool, measuring fourteen by five meters, which beautifully accents the breath taking view overlooking rice fields to Mount Agung.
All our bedrooms have been enhanced with the aural aesthetics of outdoor fountains and waterspouts, together with the practicalities of luxurious en-suite bathrooms. All the rooms are loosely connected with a roofed outdoor hallway, a series of private terraces, and a coy pond. The bedrooms has been given a unique name that tells a little about each room such as, "Dreamland", "Rice field ", "Waterfall" and the "Eagles Nest".
The kitchen is located on a lower level and dining takes place on the deck which is sheltered by a tiled roof. The house comfortably sleeps up to eight adults, two in each room. Four Staff members are provided to take care of your every need.

Activities around and nearby the Walter Spies House
Diving & Snorkeling:
There is an abundance of activities to choose from, including some of the best diving and snorkeling in Bali. Knowledgeable staff can arrange any number of unique excursions. Take a short 30-minute drive to Tulamben to witness the famous, sunken USS Liberty, or to Padang Bai which is world-class diving destination. Local dive masters are available to teach beginners and challenge experienced divers - all equipment is new and professionally maintained.
Mountain Trekking:
Beautiful mountains are right out your front door. If hiking is on your list of "things to do," take a trip to Mt. Agung (3000 meters). Local guides can lead you to the mountain top, where you will enjoy spectacular views of the island.
Bike Hire:
Daily motorbike rentals are available if you feel like exploring the island on your own - what a unique way to see the local way of life.
Fishing Trip:
A local fishing trip can be scheduled - you can be picked up at the The House a short drive before sunrise to the beach. Try your luck at catching a big tuna or barracuda; then have it specially prepared that evening into a tasty, local recipe.
Day Tours:
A private shuttle and driver is available to take you anywhere on the island at an additional charge. Don't miss Ubud, the cultural center of the island. Great shopping, wonderful food, and spectacular dance performances can be found here. View the spectacular rice fields throughout Bali. Beautiful Hindu temples are found everywhere on the island. A trip to the local water palace is very interesting. The Bali Bird Park and Bali Safari Park allows you to visit the local and foreign birds and animals "up close and personal." There are so many things to see and do on the island, or you can just relax and do nothing at all.
Tenganan Village a Balinese Traditional Village:
The Balinese Traditional Village of Tenganan which is located in Karangasem just 20min drive from our Walter Spies House away. Tenganan village represent one of a number old countryside in Bali Island. Its society life pattern represents one example of Bali Aga Village culture (Hindu Pre) different with the other countryside in plain of Bali.
GOA LAWAH/BAT CAVE:
Goa Lawah, Bat Cave, Places of interest in Bali Goa Lawah is a shrine cave where thousands of bats have a nest inside of this cave. There is big temple used by Balinese Hindu as a place to worship to the god. This temple is one of the biggest temples in Bali and the location is strategically beside of main road from Denpasar to Candidasa. The blue ocean is just apposite of this temple with the black sand unfolding throughout the coastal.
Pasir Putih Beach:
A white sand beach in East Bali. Located in the village of Perasi just 25min drive from our house.
